A Story Meant To Be Told.

The Beginning

NourishGuard was born from a season of deep love, deep exhaustion, and deep faith. When I became a first-time mom to our daughter, I was immersed in the beauty and challenge of exclusively breastfeeding while trying to continue the outdoor, active lifestyle that had always been part of who I was. My days were spent caring for my baby, managing our home, and riding and training horses — often under the intense Florida sun. Like many new mothers, I felt the tension between wanting to contribute more to my family while already giving everything I had to my child. My husband constantly reminded me that raising our daughter was the most important job there is, but I still felt a quiet pull to build something meaningful.

The Idea

One morning while doing barn chores in the heat, wearing the same old breastfeeding t-shirt I lived in, I had a simple but frustrating realization. I loved wearing long-sleeve UPF sun shirts for skin protection… but they made breastfeeding incredibly inconvenient. I was constantly changing shirts — putting on sun protection to go outside, switching to a nursing top to feed my baby, then changing back again just to keep going. On top of that, I hated the constant need for sunscreen — especially thick mineral sunscreen that’s hard to apply, reapply, and keep off your baby’s skin. In that moment I thought: “I just need a long-sleeve UPF shirt that lets me breastfeed easily!” So I searched for one. And I found nothing.

The Realization

What I did find were other moms online asking the exact same question — looking for clothing that combined sun protection with discreet nursing access in one simple, functional piece. That was the moment I knew this idea wasn’t random. It was placed in my hands for a reason. But I had no idea where to start — or how.

The Result

With God’s guidance and a lot of learning, NourishGuard began. Not from a business plan, but from a real need — lived every day by a mother who wanted to keep showing up for her family, her dreams, and her faith. NourishGuard exists to support mothers who love life outdoors and need clothing that keeps up with real motherhood — providing sun protection, comfort, and thoughtful functionality when it matters most.
